What We Believe

Service

Tenets of Faith

We believe:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25

We believe in the Triune Godhead as eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:18-19; Deuteronomy 6:4; Hebrews 1:1-3; 2 Corinthians 13:14

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:9), in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His present priestly ministry.

John 1:1-2; John 1:14; Philippians 2:8-11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-7; 2 Corinthians 5:17

We believe in evangelistic and missionary fervor and endeavor.

Mark 13:10; 2 Timothy 4:2

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.

John 3:16; Romans 8:9-10

We believe in the sanctification and holiness of heart and the overcoming life as God’s design for the Church, which is the Bride of Christ.

Romans 12:21; 1 John 2:13-14; 1 John 4:4

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the Trinity, Whose purpose in the redemption of man is to convict men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer, guide the believer into all truth, indwell and give gifts to believers as He wills, that they may minister as Christ would to all men and women. We believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 still operate in present day churches which yield to the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 11:13; John 7:37-39; 14:16-17; 16:7-14; Acts 2:39-48). We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is for all believers as promised by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:11), by Jesus (Acts 1:4, 5, 8), by Peter (Acts 2:38-41), and was witnessed by the early disciples (Acts 2:4; 10:44-47; 19:1-6) and is evidenced by many present-day disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

Isaiah 53:5; James 5:14-16; Mark 16:18; 1 Corinthians 12:9

We believe in Christ’s imminent personal return in power and great glory and in His present and everlasting dominion.

Matthew 16:27-28; Acts 1:11

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment.

John 5:28-29; John 11:25-26

We believe in the ordinance of baptism by immersion. It shall be administered to all those who have repented of their sins, who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls, and who give clear evidence of their salvation.

Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4

We believe in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. It shall be observed regularly, as enjoined in the Scriptures.

Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
